Jinnah University College is located on main Shaheed-e-Millat Road. It is an
extensive campus opening into an all-embracing courtyard and an exquisite
architecturally designed foyer. The ambience is serene and homely and very
conducive to a peaceful, harmonious blend of studies as well as creative growth.
The campus itself is located on the first floor. The lecture halls are
fully-air-conditioned with modern, state of the art equipment and facilities.

The science labs are unique for an A’ level school. Each lab is equipped with
the state of the art equipment. There is one multi-purpose Chemistry and Biology
lab designed to meet the demands of about 40 students at one time. The Physics
lab has the same capacity. We have digital oscilloscopes and digital
multi-meters. In order to encourage maximum learning and confidence in the
students they are allowed individual work time, where student teacher
interaction is on a one to one basis. Each student is provided with all
facilities to work independently. The Biology lab has unique specimens from the
human body as well as from the animal kingdom to facilitate concepts through
visual aids. |

The school has an air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 300
persons. It is equipped with a multi-media projector and audio-visual system.
The student lounge is roughly 2000sq. feet. Students have the facility of
several indoor sports; pool, table-tennis and foosball. Comfortable seating
arrangement for students is available and the common room is on the same floor
as the administrative offices where the faculty and building heads are
constantly monitoring student activity and behavior.

The library is located on the ground floor. It is centrally air-conditioned and
has the seating capacity of over 100 students. The library also has three
discussion rooms and one electronic resource center with 10 computers networked
to 128kbs ISDN Internet connection. It is well-stocked with a complete set of
reference books as well as recommended texts. It contains a total of 6000
volumes on different subjects. And the library is open to the students from
Monday-Saturday 8:00am to 9:00pm. The library subscribes to major international
and local journals, newspapers and periodicals. JUC has most of the recommended
texts by the UOL.

Students also have access to
the Jinnah Medical & Dental College library which has over 4000 books and
subscribes to 35 international journals and 15 local journals. This library is
also centrally air-conditioned and has the capacity of about 300 students. It is
open for the same hours as the JUC library.
The school strives to keep the students abreast with the latest methods of
teaching. For this purpose a state of the art computer resource center is made
within the campus. This is besides the facility available at the library. All
systems have high-speed Internet access. E-learning is essential for young
students and the school encourages the students to utilize text-books in
conjunction with the newest resources on the Internet.
Jinnah Medical and Dental College is also a member of the Pakistan Education and
Research Network and we have access to the HEC Digital Library within the
premises of the campus itself. This allows the students of Jinnah University
College unlimited library access to over 600 libraries across the globe. Our
students are given the benefit of every resource available to assist them
academically in every way possible.
Students have access to two canteens. One is located on the ground floor
“Kuckoos’s nest” as it is fondly named and another cafeteria on the fourth floor
which has the capacity to house over 100 students. The food served at both
places is hygienically prepared and is delectable. |
