The literary and journalism society is responsible for a constant update of
important events and happenings all around. This information is shared through
bulletins and pictorial presentations. The society is also responsible for
taking out an Annual Yearbook every academic year which includes a complete
summary of the entire academic calendar of events, personal contributions of
stories and poems, art work made by our students, pictures and collages. The
yearbook boasts of interviews of famous personalities and it also pays tribute
to several personalities of international acclaim. JUC also encourages its
aspiring writers to take part in international competitions. One being the
“NaNoWriMo” which is a competition for authors of any age and expertise to write
up to 50,000 words. Their work is judged and proof read for free. Winners will
also receive a free copy of their short novella. The board of judges may even
find publishers for people with outstanding potential. |

Creative Arts Society |
|
The creative arts society includes music, art and drama. Being aware of the
needs of a creative scholar the college has employed three experienced musicians
to teach the students on how to play instruments and also on how to train their
voices for singing. At the end of each academic year the college holds a singing
competition judged by well-known singers of Pakistan. It is the task of this
society to hunt for and discover new talent. An art competition is held at least
once every term and the winning entries are used in the yearbook. One mega-drama
evening is organized around January and it is held either at our own Auditorium
or as in previous years stage productions were presented at the PACC which were
on for three consecutive evenings.

beach clean-ups and also spreading knowledge and encouraging saving of power and
resources, recycling and re-using as much as possible. A major and monumental
event held this year by this society was a “Peace Day”. Personal anecdotes were
exchanged, badges promoting peace were made by the students and speeches were
